Student Symposium & Educators Meeting

Mark your calendars for this year’s STUDENT SYMPOSIUM, which will be incorporated into our annual GLACLP Conference to be held at Cleveland Clinic on October 4 & 5, 2024. This is a change from previous years, but our organization has combined the conference AND the symposium to better meet the needs of ALL our members. 

New Conference Student Track

The conference program highlights a STUDENT TRACK with content just for students who are aspiring to become Certified Child Life Specialists. We will also have an “exhibition hall” with information on student activities, volunteering, pre-internship experiences, and internships at regional hospitals, camps, and organizations. This will allow you to network with others, get contact information, and learn more about current opportunities. 

Additionally, as part of the STUDENT TRACK, you are invited to bring your cover letter and resume to be reviewed by a mentor AND you will be able to participate in SPEED INTERVIEWING where you can practice and hone your interviewing skills. These features are free to all student registrants. We will also be launching a NEWLY REVISED MENTOR-MENTEE PROGRAM with 2025 GLACLP membership, so you will want to learn about that, too!
