Pre-Internship & Internship Scholarships

For Winter/Spring 2026, GLACLP is offering three student scholarships for members

- (2) Internship Scholarships at $700/each, paid in two installments (before internship begins and halfway through with proof of success)
  - Completed or in-progress internships are not eligible for this scholarship

(1) Pre-Internship Scholarship at $250, paid in full prior to the start of the student experience

Completed or in-progress pre-internships are not eligible for this scholarship
Per ACLP, a pre-internship is defined as a student opportunity within healthcare or other community-based settings in which psychosocial support is provided to children and families in stressful situations. Examples may include: child life practicums, experiences at non-profits, medical camps, children’s shelters, etc. If you are unsure if your experience meets these guidelines, email scholarshipcommittee@glaclp.onmicrosoft.com for help.

- These are not merit-based awards
- Applicants who are chosen will be required to provide proof of student placement from their supervisor within one month of scholarship notification
- Applicants must be a 2025 GLACLP member by the time applications are due
- Applications will close on 11/21 at 11:59pm EST. All application pieces must be completed and submitted by this time in order to be considered for a scholarship
- Scholarship recipients will be notified by December 5, 2025
